Our trucks and equipment can weigh in excess of 32 tons. That weight can compress or crack a driveway, and it can damage sprinkler lines, septic drain fields and landscaping we can't see from the surface. Usually, yes. Standing water is almost always a grading or drainage problem: the ground slopes the wrong way, there's no outlet, or the tile is crushed or plugged. We install drain tile, French drains, swales, culverts and catch basins, and regrade so water leaves instead of sitting.

Hydrovac — also called hydro excavation or vacuum excavation — uses pressurised water to break up soil while a vacuum lifts the slurry into a tank on the truck. Nothing metal touches the ground, so it won't cut a gas line, fibre bundle or water main the way a backhoe bucket can. It's the standard method for digging around live utilities, and it works in frozen ground when conventional digging won't.
